Help a little dog out!

Buddies for Buddy

Okay guys, this dashing little dachshund, Buddy, is in need of your assistance, as is his amazing owner Tay.

He's getting on in his years, a ripe 10 year old, and some medical things are starting to arise, such as back problems. Due to Buddy's little legs and long spine, a disc in this little guy's back is starting to curve more than the others and the squishly little padding between the discs isn't doing it's job so well.

Eventually Buddy is going to need some surgery to fix this problem of his and get him back on his little feet, but as we all know vet fees are horrifyingly expensive. THIS IS WHERE YOU FINE PEOPLE COME IN!

Buddy's owner and best friend Tay is looking at having to give him up due to how expensive these things can turn out to be, and I want to do anything that I can to stop that from happening, especially since this little guy is Tay's only family squished into dog form. But as a college student, money can be tight, especially thousands of dollars to make this little guy happy again, as well as having to go through this on her own since the loss of both of her parents.

I'd like to ask you guys for your help in the form of donations, anything will do really. Idealistically, I'd like to raise enough to cover the costs of Buddy's bills entirely, but realistically, I realize that anything would help.

Do your good deed for the day and help these two out. They deserve it and you will be making a puppy and his mama very happy.

UPDATE: Buddy's owner Tay had to make an emergency run to the vet today due to Buddy having bloody diarrhea. They determined that it was a side effect from the steroids Buddy is on to heal his back, as well as trauma from the entire situation. They gave him a shot to help rehydrate him and he is back home in his little crate awaiting recovery. Please continue to help spread the word about this little guy, because it's doing a world of good!

EDIT: Buddy's buddies have helped raise $363.94 so far! Keep it up guys and help spread the word.

EDIT 2: Wow, you guys. Thank you so much for helping them out. I didn't think we'd be getting this much so quickly. It's restored my faith in humanity a little bit more.
